Tried & True Best in Class Filtration Technology
- The CuZn UC-200 series are bacteriostatic filter systems that have been in production for decades, utilizing powerful combinations of KDF filter media, catalytic coconut shell carbons & micro sediment membranes that has stood the test of time.
- The UC-200 series filtration process purifies the water without removing health beneficial hardness minerals, a UC-200 series type water filter does not reduce TDS/PPM type meter readings, a PPM or TDS meter is not effective for testing.
- If TDS/PPM removal is desired, shop the Undersink RO Systems instead
- CuZn recommends using sensitive chlorine test strips that list 0.25ppm as the minimum level on the strip for the earliest and most accurate detection of chlorine breakthrough.
- Replace the entire UC-200 Series filter system with a fresh one when chlorine breakthrough is detected in the filtered water.

Low Maintenance, Eco Friendly
- The UC-200 series systems are essentially a giant filter cartridge, simply replace the entire UC-200 with a fresh one
- Durable long life, low maintenance appliances like the UC-200 eliminate the unnecessary waste and expense associated with water filters that require frequent replacement cartridge shipments. Filters designed like the UC-200 are the most eco friendly, lowest carbon footprint type of water filter system.
- UC-200 model: replace once every 5 years (depending on incoming water quality)

Product Description
The UC-200 Series Water Filters have been America's favorite under sink water filter systems for over 2 decades.CuZn's UC-200 model is featured on Amazon and remains the only under sink water filter to have continuously maintained a 5 star rating for 5000+ reviews because you aren't just buying a product off the shelf, you are purchasing years worth of guaranteed top quality drinking water service for your home from CuZn.
The UC-200 Series water filters will reduce a wide variety of organic and inorganic contaminants including but not limited to: chlorine, chloramine, water soluble cation heavy metals (lead, mercury, chromium VI, cadmium, etc.), herbicides, pesticides, sediment, algae, molds, bad taste, odors and other undesirable contaminants that may effect the quality of your water supply. Unlike carbon only filters, bacteria can’t grow inside the bacteriostatic CuZn UC-200 Series Water Filtration Systems.
The UC-200 requires virtually no maintenance and installs in minutes, hooking up to the cold water supply of your kitchen sink. When you turn on the cold water side of your kitchen sink, pure CuZn filtered water will be dispensed on demand for all your cooking and drinking needs. New video installation instructions can be viewed by scrolling below further or searching "UC-200 Water Filter Install" on Youtube.
The UC-200 Series purify the water selectively, allowing health beneficial water mineral content to remain in the filtered water. A UC-200 Series type water filter system DOES NOT reduce TDS or PPM type meter readings.
To test the UC-200 Series performance, utilize DPD#1 Chlorine Test Strips. Replace the UC-200 Series filter system with a fresh one when chlorine breakthrough is detected in the filtered water. CuZn recommends using sensitive chlorine test strips that list 0.25ppm as the minimum level on the strip for the earliest and most accurate detection of chlorine breakthrough.
Total hardness (total hardness = concentration of calcium & magnesium in the water) will pass through the UC-200 Series type water filter systems and remain in the filtered water dispensed from the systems. Calcium & magnesium are health beneficials minerals to ingest and give the water a nice flavor profile when present at low to moderate levels, the UC-200 Series purification method that allows the Hardness Minerals to remain in the filtered water is one of the reasons why it is a popular choice.
The average level of Hardness Minerals (calcium & magnesium) in city water systems in the USA is only 5 grains per gallon, which is a low to moderate level of Hardness Minerals that is ideal for health and drinking water flavor profile, making a UC-200 series type water filter an ideal choice for folks the vast majority of city water supplies in average Hardness Mineral levels range.
However, there are still some city water supplies that that contain excessively high level of total hardness (calcium and magnesium). The level of total hardness (calcium & magnesium) is used to determine if your water is "soft water" or "hard water", water that contains excessive or extreme concentrations of total hardness is referred to as "hard water".
While it is perfectly healthy to drink water that contains excessively high concentrations of total hardness (calcium and magnesium) that is considered "hard" water, way too high a concentration of Hardness Minerals can cause some minor aesthetic issues. For example, if your water contains excessively high hardness minerals and is considered "hard", you'll experience "hard" water mineral residue build up symptoms (white/tan/light-colored mineral residue on glasses, tea kettles, sink spouts, etc) and perhaps an overly "minerally" flavor profile.
