Safety shutoff pellets

"I ordered these along with a cartridge replacement pack. While servicing our filter system, I noticed the installed safety shutoff pellet had apparently "dissolved" - there was nothing left. They swell when wet and turn off the master valve to the R/O filter system. It is important to me to have as much "flood" protection as possible (we even turn off our water main while we are gone). There are several potential leak points with our R/O filter system, and I want our cupboard protected from moisture. Luckily, we haven't had ANY leaks from our filter system, faucets, or disposer. These pellets give me peace of mind - however, they are expensive."

Saved my hardwood floors from my stupidity

"When I first installed this, I thought it was such a unique mechanical solution to stop a link for such a low cost as opposed to electronic leak detection and shutoff systems and I thought it was nice of the manufacturer to include this in their kit. Now, I am SO thankful to Express Water for including this in the system. Unintelligent me was filling a bottle and turned around to say hi to the dog. Then went to bed ... without turning off the water! Luckily, the water covered the counter top then seeped down into the cabinet and tripped this magnificent little engineering marvel, thus saving all my hardwood floors."
